PEER GOLF

Battle golf. Everyone plays the same hole at once, anyone can club anyone, and there are never enough carts. No server: everyone's browser is the game.

Checking for a VR headset…

How to play Six holes, played in a loop by everyone at once. Your ball waits on the tee of whichever hole is on. Once anyone holes out, the rest have 75 seconds to finish; a hole you don't finish scores at least a triple bogey. Lowest score over the round wins.
  • Walk up to your ball (or press F near it) to stand over it. Aim with the mouse or A D, hold the button to draw the club back, and let go to swing. The meter falls back if you hold on too long.
  • 1-4 pick the driver, iron, wedge or putter. Standing over the ball picks one for the shot.
  • Click anywhere else to swing your club at whoever's in front of you: they're knocked flat for a couple of seconds. A fast ball does the same.
  • E gets you into a free cart: W S drive, A D steer, Space brakes. Carts knock people over too, and crash hard enough to throw you out.
  • Water and out of bounds cost a stroke, and you play again from where you were. Tab shows the scorecard.
VR: your clubs hang at your hips. Squeeze a grip by one to take it, walk up to your ball and swing through it for real. A gets in and out of carts; seated, the right trigger goes, the left reverses, and the left stick steers.
Touch controls Your left thumb walks and your right thumb looks. SWING (or a tap) clubs whoever's in front of you. By your ball, tap PLAY BALL. Then put a finger on the right of the screen and pull it down to draw the club back (further is harder) and let go to swing; slide it sideways instead to aim. In a cart, your left thumb is the pedals and the wheel. Turn your phone sideways.
